Welcome to OCTAVE METTLE. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the octave.co.in website, the OCTAVE METTLE mobile application, and any associated services (collectively, the "Platform"). By accessing, browsing, or making a purchase on our Platform, you agree to be bound by the policies, terms, and conditions set forth below. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms & Modifications

OCTAVE METTLE provides its services to you subject to the conditions outlined in this agreement. When you use any current or future services provided by OCTAVE METTLE, you are subject to the specific guidelines and conditions applicable to that service.

We reserve the right to update, modify, or replace any part of these Terms at any time at our sole discretion. Any changes will be posted on the Platform, and it is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically. Your continued use of the Platform following the posting of any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.

2. Eligibility & Limited License

Age Requirement: By accessing our Platform, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age, or that you are accessing the Platform under the direct permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

Site Access: Subject to your compliance with these Terms, OCTAVE METTLE grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, and non-transferable license to access and use the Platform for your personal, non-commercial use.

Restrictions: Except as expressly permitted, you may not reproduce, modify, display, distribute, or otherwise exploit any content from the Platform for commercial purposes without prior written consent from OCTAVE METTLE. We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or cancel orders at our sole discretion if we believe a user’s conduct violates applicable law or is detrimental to the interests of OCTAVE METTLE.

3. User-Generated Content (Reviews, Photos, & Comments)

We welcome your engagement! However, any content you post, submit, or share with OCTAVE METTLE—whether on our website, mobile app, blog, or via social media (including images tagged with #OCTAVEMETTLE or other branded hashtags)—will be treated as public and non-proprietary.

License Grant: By submitting photographs, reviews, comments, or other materials ("User Content"), you grant OCTAVE METTLE a royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, and fully transferable right to use, copy, distribute, publish, translate, and modify such submissions in any media format. Ownership & Warranty: All User Content shall automatically become the sole and exclusive property of OCTAVE METTLE. You grant us the right to use the name or handle submitted in connection with such content. Furthermore, you represent and warrant that you own or otherwise control all legal rights to the content you submit and that its use does not violate any third-party rights.

4. Intellectual Property Rights

All content included on the Platform—such as text, graphics, logos, images, audio clips, digital downloads, data compilations, and software—is the exclusive property of OCTAVE METTLE or its content suppliers and is protected by applicable copyright laws.

Trademarks: The OCTAVE METTLE name, logos, and service marks may not be used in connection with any product or service that is not affiliated with OCTAVE METTLE, in any manner that is likely to cause consumer confusion, or in any way that disparages or discredits the brand. Furthermore, the use of OCTAVE METTLE trademarks or service marks in meta-tags, hidden text, or search engine advertising without our explicit prior written consent is strictly prohibited.

5. Electronic Communications & Consent

By submitting your contact information to OCTAVE METTLE, you consent to receive communications from us electronically. You authorize OCTAVE METTLE to contact you via Phone, SMS, RCS, WhatsApp, or Email for:

Transactional updates (e.g., order confirmations, shipping notices).

Informational and promotional purposes related to our services and products.

Opt-Out: You maintain the right to withdraw your consent for promotional communications at any time. You may opt out by following the unsubscribe instructions included in our messages or by contacting our customer support team directly.

6. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions, and any separate agreements whereby we provide you services, shall be governed by, construed, and enforced in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in India.

At Octave, we respect your privacy and your right to control your personal information. If you no longer wish to maintain an Octave account, you can request the permanent deletion of your account and associated personal data using the form below.
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Please review the information below before submitting your request.

How the Account Deletion Process Works

Step 1: Submit your request
Enter the email address registered to your Octave account and any other requested information. You may provide a reason for leaving, but this is optional.

Step 2: Verification and processing
We may verify your identity using the contact details associated with your account to ensure that the request has been made by the account holder.

Step 3: Account deletion
Once your request has been verified, Octave will process it within 30 calendar days of successful submission and verification.

Step 4: Confirmation
We will notify you at your registered email address when the deletion process is complete, or if we need additional information to process your request.

What Information Will Be Deleted?

Subject to applicable legal requirements, we will delete your Octave account and associated personal information, which may include:

  • Your account profile and personal details.
  • Your saved addresses and contact information.
  • Your saved preferences and account settings.
  • Other personal information associated with your account that is not required to be retained.

Information held by third-party service providers on our behalf will be addressed in accordance with applicable requirements and our data-handling arrangements.

What Information May We Retain?

Certain information may need to be retained where required or permitted by applicable law or for legitimate purposes, such as:

  • Order, invoice and transaction records required for tax, accounting or legal compliance.
  • Information necessary to resolve disputes, process returns or refunds, or address legal claims.
  • Records required for fraud prevention, security or compliance with legal obligations.

Any retained information will be limited to what is necessary for the relevant purpose and handled in accordance with applicable requirements. Where appropriate, information may be anonymised or securely deleted once the retention purpose no longer applies.

Important Things to Know Before Deleting Your Account

  • Permanent action: Account deletion cannot be reversed. You may need to create a new account if you wish to shop with Octave again.
  • Order history: You may lose access to your order history, saved addresses and other account-related information.
  • Existing orders: Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an order that has already been placed. Existing orders, deliveries, returns or refunds may continue to be processed as applicable.
  • Returns and support: If you have a pending return, refund, warranty claim or customer service issue, please contact our support team before requesting deletion.
  • Legal retention: Some transaction or other records may be retained where required or permitted by law, even after your account has been deleted.

How to Request Account Deletion

Complete the form below using the email address associated with your Octave account. Providing your registered mobile number may help us verify your request.
A reason for leaving is optional and will not affect your ability to request account deletion.
Processing time: Within 30 calendar days of successful submission and verification.
If we require additional information to verify your identity, we will contact you using the details provided. The processing timeline and any delay will be communicated to you where applicable.
